According to Gruhn's Guide to Vintage Guitars, this pedal steel guitar was one of "6 prototypes produced", and the instrument was "cataloged but never in production".
There were many options available to buyers, including pedal set up and knee lever combinations..

Someone MAY get a bargain... But beware, it isn't totally "original" .. (As it would need to be for a collector)

Just to confirm that it isn't "Out of Place" to post this here.

This one isn't mine, as mine has 8x3..AND the original volume knob !! AND the magnets on the endplate covers are in the RIGHT place..
The one above, (For sale on E-Bay) is probably the last one of these that will be sold on the "Open Market" as the rest are in private collections. AFAIK
