My ZB has a single-coil pickup, with 3 coil taps, at various windings.

Does anybody know what the readings are for those coil taps ?

Hallo Richard
Your best bet is to contact either Billy Knowles, Greg Jones or Kevin Hatton on the US Forum,if they don't know
nobody does, I had it written down somewhere but can't find it .
All the best

Richard, I took the readings from my last ZB years ago. The E9 pickup was tapped at 10K, 15K and 20K. I believe they were all hand wound and there was a tremendous variance from guitar to guitar.

Richard, I have checked four, one on an S10 (originally on Johne Roche’s C6th neck)
A spare reported to be off an old GH steel and the two on Gordon’s ex D10 (not a matching pair!) now there’s a surprise!!
Anyway the most consistent readings were… E9th 6.6 - 9.3 - 15.9 ....... C6th 9.7 - 10.2 - 20
I read only today that it was reckoned Tom Brumley’s SD11 was 18 on the center tap!

I think Ken’s 10 – 15 – 20 might be a good root to go if you are thinking about a re-wind.
