after building most of the underside of my Dave Nixon guitar, I've taken off the neck to polish it and clean the top.
Does anyone have any clues as to the necks origin?
It did have red paint on the sides from the nut to where it flares out for the pickup/changer but I suspect this was added after it had left Mr Nixon's hands.
From what I've been told Dave Nixon built 3 guitars, supposedly mine is the 2nd, I've seen a picture of the 3rd and it has a zb custom neck and peghead with horns.

by the way, the neck is upside down in the photo.
It has a wider string spacing than modern guitars, I haven't measured it yet but the msa classic changer I have bought to start another project fits it's 10 strings in the space of 9 on this guitar.

so after building new changer fingers out of 3/8 brass, I can confirm the string spacing on this neck is 3/8", so 3.75" or approx 95mm total changer width. Does this narrow down what the neck and headstock may be?
