Introducing My new baby, Carter SD 10, 5 x 3, in Walnut and Maple Mica finish, lovely smooth modern action, lovely tone from the George L E-66, i will be using this guitar for live video recording of a George Strait song 'i hate everything' by the 'Jessie Conlon Band' this thursday, 2nd june from 'the Glass House' Sligo, which will be screened on Sky Rural Channel, 'HOT COUNTRY' some time soon, I think i might be right in saying there has been a problem getting this particular Sky channel of late, but if i can, i will post the video

Eddie, thats a classy looking Carter ... I wish you lots of luck with it. Its a shame the company will not be building
any more of these great guitars, UNLESS someone like Ken Byng decides to buy Carter Steel Guitars.

Thanks for that info Jim, good to know 'hot country' has not dissappeared into cyber space, it is indeed very light Ken, but very stable at the same time, im really pleased with it, yes Ted, it is a great shame to know that these guitars are no longer being made, would be nice if someone could take over the brand and continue production,

I want to know where this rumour of me having loads of money has come from. I wouldn't mind being a pound behind you.

Ken, I need to have a chat with you regarding October. Sent you a PM
Regarding Carter Steel Guitars ...... Hows about you and me buying the company and moving to Texas.
We would save a fortune on airline tickets as we both visit Uncle Sam every year

frank says 'oh! what happened the ZB? well frank, me and the ZB basically didn't get on very well, lovely looking guitar, and a sound to die for, classic tone, BUT! i didn't like the sloppy feel of the pedals and knee levers, the knee levers in particular seemed to need to travel forever, and being a steelie with a guitar slung around my neck, i needed a steel with short and precise knee lever travel, and the Carter certainly delivers that, it was suggested to me by Ted, when i told him of my struggles, that really, it needed a very modern mechanism fitting to it, basically changing all the underside, and that it would then be a fantastic steel, but that would have been very expensive, and leaving me without a steel for a long period, and i am gigging regulary, and had this recording coming up, so on both counts, i decided no, so i decided to bite the financial bullet, and change to a modern steel that suits my needs, and i am really happy with the Carter,
re; the DVD recording for 'hot country' that was filmed earlier today, very professional, and very complex kinda day, there are a lot of scenes which have been shot, which convey the story of the song, in one scene, we were filmed playing poker at a saloon table, our drummer quipped 'i played better poker than i played steel', but he's a drummer! what would he know? there must have been twenty plus takes of the one song, focusing on each member of the six piece band at a time, plus the other scenes, and having been involved in the whole thing all day, it will be very interesting to see how it all comes together after editing,
