The Company APC. that used to be a trusted and reliable means of sending your guitar has just joined with a whole bunch of other companies in inflicting a 100% hike in the price unless what you are sending is in a cardboard box!! This makes no sense to me as if you had a cardboard BOX big enough to take steel in case lifting it would be a real bitch! at least most cases have a handle.
The upshot of it is, what used to cost 20 pounds now cost 40 pounds, so if a forum bro wants to send you his guitar for a 5 pound job. his bill is going to be
£85 QUID !! to get his guitar there and back........
There is a Company called "Rand Logistics" that has so far not joined in this money grab, they are slightly more expensive to start with but if you only save a tenner ..... that is 20 quid if guitar goes both ways and Rand have always been cheaper on international.
IF ANYONE HAS A CHEAPER WAY OF MOVING GUITARS AROUND PLEASE TELL US ABOUT IT....WE NEED TO KNOW.....
