It is A Black Fender Shobud from the transition period and it is the only Pull release system I have seen with 4 knee levers that work perfectly, it is a little treasure light and very portable it was in tune when I took it out of it's box and played very well..... I wonder how many were made ? Baz? anybody?
Sorry about this P($$ poor vid I was not really trying but the guitar was doing its best LOL

That was the Fender "Student" model (3 + 1) that was in line with the very similar looking vinyl Maverick. Somebody has done a lot of work to add three knees to it. I saw one like that, with the added KLs, in a club on South Coast in the '70s when I went there to buy my D-10 Fender/Bud. I've got the relevant Fender catalogue somewhere.

My mate Malcolm Mcmaster had a student one identical to that one John, but had only 3 and 1.
Dougie Stevens still plays a double neck Fender like this one.
Looking forward to hearing you in Dublin.
Asleep at the steel

The guys on the US forum have made some nice comments about it and the general consensus is "it did not come out of the factory that way" , I am just blown away by how well it plays and stay's in tune, one guy mentioned Michael Yahl as a possible culprit for the four knee levers but no real answers as yet.
Willie, try not to show me up too much I have to follow you on the Saturday (so they tell me)
