Robert - McMiser's mattress is now so far off the ground that he has to have a step-ladder to get into bed!

BTW - Willie is a superstar in the steel guitar world, and one of the best on this side of the watery divide that separates us from our brothers in the great US of A. I wish that the powers that be would invite him to play on the main stage at Dallas. He would be a most popular addition.

Malcolm has back problems due to carrying a heavy wallet in his back pocket, modern plastic cards do not feel the same as hard cash in his hands, he sleeps well due to his feeling of security lying on top of his wealth

I know Wullie is a superstar in any world but did not want to elaborate on it and make McMiser feel worse
Besides Wullie's modesty is only matched by his humblicity
Apart from that we cannae afford to go over the pond to hear his patter and listen to him play in his usual stylish and accomplished manner, Gartcosh has a lot to offer each month, including the usual comedy routine from one of our superstars complete with musical accompaniment

I missed not doing a Gartcosh meet this year Robert. My wife wants me to take her to North Yorkshire and Scotland next year, so it would be nice to include a meet at Thornton Watlass and Gartcosh in the travels.

I think that she would be enamoured to meet all of the guys at both venues.

Gotta say, a fiver @ Gartcosh is small change to listen to a man of Willies standard, he could easy peasy play the main stage at Dallas. I hear he was jamming with JD Maness in Dublin, I'd have liked to listen to that fer sure.

My claim to fame @ Dallas was relieving myself at the urinal next to JD just before he took to the stage, no really, I'm not taking the p , mind you I scared a few people in there as they thought they had entered the ladies by mistake, that's why I've recently grown a beard

I think it may well have to be July Nick. I daren't risk travelling north in January, as there is a good chance of encountering snow during that month, especially in Scotland. Mrs Ken is teetotal, so I will be treating her to coffee at The Buck Inn and a flask at Gartcosh.

A flask is well below the high standards we try to maintain at Gartcosh, I'll make the effort and wash the cups with bleach to remove the stains and will be more than happy to provide Mrs Ken and yourself with a choice selection of teas, as well as a teapot enabling you to have a refill
