Malcolm
Billy M emailed me to say that you had put a nice comment on here about my stint in Dallas. I appreciate it very much and it was very kind of you to say such nice things. I was very grateful to Dave Beaty for loaning me his combo amp and volume pedal to use on stage at the show. I have to say that the new combo makes the Peavey Nashville 112 sound like a transistor radio. I know that it is many times the price, but nevertheless the comparison is a valid one. I never thought that my Webb would be out-Webb'd but by golly it has been. :D

I had so many guys complimenting me on my tone, that I had no other option but to believe them.

I would like to thank Ted Nesbitt, Mike Fereday, Paddy Long and particularly the 'whispering baritone' Ivor Greenwood for their company over the long weekend. Thanks guys, it was great.

Paddy and Bob from New Zealand bought spectacular Zumsteel D10's, which look like being the last ones that Bruce Zumsteg will be making. I have a new deep blue flamed maple body with mop inlays being made by Mark Giles for my Zum, and will pick it up at the 2015 Dallas Show.

I have fixed up to have some lessons on C6 with both Mike Sweeney and 'flying fingers' himself, Buck Reid. Buck is simply awesome on both necks, and just takes ones breath away when he plays. Even if he plays right in front of you, it is difficult to make out what he is doing.

Thanks again Malcolm, I am just off to downtown Nashville for a stroll around Broadway. :D

Just a very temporary visit Bob.

I'll send you some pics of my Tuff Dog when I get home. The flame maple inlay on the back of the guitar is something to behold. It is a wonderful machine and I love it. Sounds stunning too.

I popped in to thank Malcolm, but will resume normal service on the USA forum. Take care - I will send you an email with an update on everything.

Ken

I should have added that Mark Dunn did a great job in the Telonics Room, playing along with the best of them, creating a good image of the UK players with his helpful and cheerful information.( Mark can you send cheque now as agreed)

Really Really enjoyed Dallas this year - Playing steel with Paddy Long and John Stannard in the Telonics room was such good fun. Some great company... what more could you ask for?

I spoke with Dave Beaty this evening, every single combo from the first batch has now been sold... The next batch is in production and I've reserved some of that batch. I don't have a dispatch date at this point in time, but the order is in!
Dave and his team of designers have worked very hard to perfect this amp, every single detail has been discussed and considered in great detail. But's the hard work has paid off :D A big thank you to all that played the amp and supported us in the Telonics room - greatly appreciated :)

Although I've played Zum's for several year's I had never met Bruce before, Paddy made the introduction... and I couldn't believe it... he came across and checked my guitar 8-) Apparently it was the 15th one built.

Malcolm thank you for your help and company at the airport... ha ha... a cheque... but what currency should I use? Actually, I must thank Mike (Martin Lewis) Fereday... really appreciated your help!

Dallas is always great, but this year was really special... MEGA trip :D

Highjacked, highjacked!!!

Isn’t it great how my ‘Amplifier Weight’…post! Has grown arms and legs!... To crown it all I was asked on an hour ago on http://www.pedalsteel.co.uk/ where can I buy! A Steelmixer! 8-) ....... You will have that email by now Mr 'D' I imagine! ;)

It is definitely time I was on commission!!! :!: I can bring back the Steelmixer tab anytime you like Mark!

Yes... I didn't think about that! Blame JD... he told me about that 'view active topics' link, I usually forget what heading I'm on and just check out the latest posts.
I suppose I should have started a new topic named - The new Telonics TCA-500 Combo Pro Amplifier - as Ken did on the US Forum. If it's no trouble, and possible, feel to do so Bob.

In the last few weeks I've had a few inquiries regarding the Steel Mixer. Was that email from Pastor Clark? When the dust settles on some other projects I might have a think about designing a Steel Mixer II.

Cheers Bob

Mark
