Bar slanting  Now there's a prospect that's way ahead of my meagre skills, someday

And as for Mr Cage, I'll bet he does a good Travis Bickle, "Is he talkin' to me? Is he talkin' to ME? Who's he talkin' to? IS HE TALKIN' TO ME??"
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Jerry Byrd in action in the clip below demonstrating his skills on a seven? string Rickenbacker, at a guitar show in 1957, sadly no sound, but plenty of action, it's a joy to watch his picking and bar skills. :guitar: :guitar:

With regard to bar slanting, Danny have a look at the master of touch and tone demonstrating his talent while smiling at the camera, with his "TWO FEET" firmly on the ground  :guitar: :guitar:

Guitar is a Bakelite Rickenbacker with a "horse shoe" pick up. :o

Robert :guitar: :guitar:
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

Thanks John :D that was a lovely start to a lazy Sunday. I wish they made programs like that today. What a hairy arsed solo Buddy Cage takes in Mary Lou, fantastic :guitar: :guitar: That's an odd looking amp he's using. Things turn pretty nasty when he switches on that distortion

And Robert, luckily enough I've heard a fair bit of 'The Master', and can imagine how good that would've been  I love the 'Modern Styling' of the gear, too  To think I was domiciled in Colingwood, Ontario at the time of this filming, possibly on the same longitude as Mr Byrd, but sadly not on the same wavelength.

Don't know what age Buddy was then - let's say he was 30.
How do you get that good, so young?
I prefer his hair style in this video, though! (Although these days I'd be happy if the was enough there for the Mohican!)
