Just got my Sheffield back from Dave Wheelhouse after a thorough overhaul. I became its third guardian, via the BSS web pages, a few weeks back, but it was set up Emmons and I'm not! If the picture loads you'll be able to see that it is a DB-10 pattern, 3 + 5 arrangement, with pad.

Dave re-assembled the mechanics, replacing the bell cranks with his newer design in the process, added some extra changes, renewed the pad and polished everything he could to reverse some obvious abuse, before I could really have a play.

Wow, what an instrument! No doubt helped by the "George L TW" pick-up it certainly packs a punch. Tuning is spot on, it has the sweetest of tone and pedals and levers are the smoothest I've experienced.

This was his first attempt at his Sheffield concept - his most recent models are even better, he tells me! I'm happy with mine thanks Dave...........though I might yet get round to that red one we spoke of!

Cheers mate,

Bob
