Maybe this doesn't belong in Member's Video, but I think it does..
My reason for posting it is to highlight the work that Daniel does for charity, that one night raised £25,000.
Of course Bob Brolly also raises quite considerable sums, hence both Bob and Daniel are MBE's (Royal Knights)
Considering that I'm playing on all of Bob's Shows and featured at this show, I think it's not out of place here. After all I did produce Daniel's first record and No.1 hit that launched him on his career.
As for his career, In the past three years alone Daniel has put an astonishing 7 albums in the UK Top 20, and topped the DVD Music Charts at Christmas.
From the beginning Steel Guitar has been an integral part of his music, he even carries a steel guitar player on most of his shows..
The Best Of Daniel O'Donnell On Film' not only went straight into the Number 1 spot in the UK Music DVD Charts but also, after just 3 weeks sales, achieved platinum status. By going platinum and getting to Number 1, beating off competition from the likes of Take That, Pink Floyd, Rod Stewart and Status Quo, this represented a massive success for Daniel.
