History of E9th internet radio show

My friend asked me to come on his internet radio show and talk about steel guitar, so I thought I'd angle it over to a tribute to Bud Isaacs and potted history of the E9th tuning, playing some of the breakthrough licks on my Sho~Bud along with the first hit records they were on. It was the first time I've done a live broadcast and some of the things I was going to say simply flew out of my head (not to mention a few fluffs on the guitar) but I managed to get some information across I think. There wasn't time to get everything in (Mooney! Franklin!) but there may be a part two eventually. Hopefully it will be of interest to new players and attract some people to the instrument. Give it a listen if only for a bunch of classic steel guitar records in one place - and let me know if you enjoy the show.

Thanks! I'm glad you guys enjoyed it, it was a fun thing to do. And I took the research very seriously, thanks for noticing Nick! Quite chaotic and distracting, especially when a rock concert started up half way through, in the square just outside the window. Let me know (gently) if I got anything wrong, and what you would have in part two.

I had fun playing some more of my favourite records - we tried to cover Mooney, Brumley, JD Maness, Sneaky Pete, Lloyd Maines and others but we couldn't quite get up to present day in the time... so I think part 3 is in the offing. I really managed to mangle some Ralph Mooney licks (always fun on a live broadcast) but maybe only you guys would hear that. Maybe. Ah well! And yes, I meant to say G#!

I'm reviving this old post, for two reasons really. Firstly, to alert any newcomers, or forumites, that might've missed this, who I'm sure would enjoy the content, and secondly, to enquire of Jonathan, if episode 3 is still in the pipeline. I really enjoyed both eps.
