Just thought I'd stick this one in. I had this picture given to me a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure which Irish club it was taken at but I do know it was in 1972.
Left to right is, Roger Marshall (drums) Bobby Farmer (lead guitar) Me (steel) Alan "The Rat" Roberts (rhythm guitar & harmony vocals) John O'Brien (bass guitar) and Martin Perdine (rhythm guitar and lead vocals) and in my opinion one of the best country singers this country has ever had, especially Honky Tonk. We are old buggers now but I am trying everything I can to get him to make a come back even if it's only for a few gigs.

Just out of curiosity;,Shakey. What's the guitar your playing?

Danny, the guitar was a home made 8 string with 3+2, the first one that I built. I went from working in one engineering factory to another sometimes only working for a few days, long enough to get parts made then I would tell the boss I didn't like the job, get paid off then move to another factory to get the next bits made. I could never afford to buy one in those days I was always broke.

Wow! Respect due, Shakey.
So, that was the first Sha-Bud! It's a proper shiny beast. Hope it played as good as it looked.
I fondly remember the days when you could quit a job on Friday and start another on Monday. Good times eh?
