An idea for all you enthusiasts!
As ever our issue with Amplifiers is weight! I love the S2000 but would have liked it to weight that of a 112…
I didn’t quite make it but only 5lbs out!
The cabinet is done in capped flightcase astraboard, perfectly rigid & strong with no noticeable difference in sound quality!
A Nashville1000 size amp c/w 15" Black Widow at 22kilos!! Half the weight of the Session500....That'll do nicely!!
BTW. I’m not volunteering to do it for you only sharing the thought!

Nice job Bob, you have done great job on it.Bob did you use standard Black Widow or Neo? if weight is a consideration for any of you guys , you might like to think about my set up.It is a GK MB200 amp( two lbs in weight) which gives out 200 watts into 4 ohm speaker, I personally use the Sica Neo 12inch speaker, in custom made cab ( as copied from Steve English on American Forum) and total weight is 21lbs, yes that's correct you did not misread it.It sounds very like my 112, but half the weight, but a lot more power, and even if you went for a 15inch Neo it would only add about 3 lbs more.My reason for this is severe back problems, so anything that saves weight is great by me.The total cost came in about £400, a lot cheaper than 112, and not too much above Roland Cube , but much more power.

Yes, that looks nice Bob. Great job!
Just for interest, Telonics have also minimised the weight of the new combo. It's about 30lbs with a 15" speaker fitted, that's just under 14kilos. Getting the strength in the cab and minimising the weight was quite tricky. Dave told me the corners are all dovetailed and cut on NC equipment to get a really tight and ridged joint.

Got one of those, but it doesn't lift it out of car boot or put it back in, or doesn't carry it up or down stairs for you, in my experience these are the two areas where the old back gets injured.Have just spent three weeks with severe back pain after I had to carry all the gear up and down stairs when the said truck collapsed in heap ( no not old Roy) when a bolt sheared on it.Now replaced with new truck.Yes you can replace truck but once you have injured your back it is normally a recurring problem.

Tried out the new Telonic's Combo at Dallas .Very impressive , but at $1900 I would expect it to be.It was a lot bigger than I expected, around Steel King size, weighed in around 33lbs I believe. The amp had amazing bottom end while still keeping crisp top end, and was used to great effect by Ken Byng with the Carter D10 he bought, superb playing by Ken ,and probably the best tone of the Thursday night session. This view was backed up by quite a few of the top pros and builders who all complimented him on tone and playing.Well done Ken. I tried one out in MSA room with a legend D 10 ( fitted with new fret light neck) and have to say it is probably the best sound I have ever achieved, pity I won't be able to afford one.Mark Dunn was demonstrating them in the Telonics Room, and is bring one home tomorrow, he is arranging to import some so if you have bags of bucks this might be for you,get in touch with him after he gets back on Tuesday.Great show, if you have not been you should think about it.
