Second Would be Buddy Cage with NRPS check out the album "Powerglide" I am still amazed by his timing and accurate playing on the solo in "Sweet Loving one"

‘‘Twas good to chat with you JD this morning on the dog and bone.
My taste in music is very similar to yours, all the masters of the steel, my favourite player has always been Weldon Myrick with his tasty playing on the grand Ole Opry and records backing so many country vocalists over his years of playing steel.
At home I have steel radio on most of the time where a wide choice of steel music is available.

Hi John I don't listen to any music really. If I get a song in my head I will youtube it to hear different approaches to it. I tend then to hum the song all day long till it drives me mad. Building a garden room at the moment. The wife's visiting a friend for a few days next week so I will either be recording or flipping the old girl on to her back and have a good rodding session!
