Just thought I'd put in my two pence worth..
Matt is a great teacher. This time last year I had just bought my first pedal steel. I knew nothing. Matt started off by showing me the real basics (things like finger grips and what the pedals actually do) then we moved on to learning practise exercises, licks, pick and palm blocking and now I'm regularly gigging the thing! He's also pretty handy at getting under the hood if your steel needs a service or if you need pedals/levers altering. I could not recommend him more. He's patient, goes at the right pace and also knows how to challenge you when you need it.

Has some great technique pointers - Really helped me start to develop a good palm blocking technique that I had been struggling with for a while.

Hello everyone,
I booked a lesson with Matt just the other week, and strapped my trusty fender to its trusty sack trolley and made the trip to Crouch end. Matt's a great teacher, he was patient and able to adapt to my bizarre copedent set up. He makes you feel very at ease at comfortable. Rock solid theory, great chops and world-class tea. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I am also available for online skype lessons. I just gave a lesson to someone in the rain forest in Australia and it worked a treat!!
