I went to see Gerry today for a lesson and i thought i'd just put up a post about how great his lessons are.
He is a great teacher, top player and a thoroughly nice bloke, as well as a touring steel guitarist who knows how it is.
To anyone looking for a lesson i can highly recommend him
Matt

Met Gerry for the first time at Bury St Edmunds recently with Albert Lee. Had a chat and what a lovely man to talk to. He admitted he was a member of the society but didn't look here very often.. Perhaps we can change that. There must be a wealth of information this man could give us all.

Going back to the old days when Gerry and family did the Newbury Steel Festival,.... shame it ended because it was the event of the year for me....Players and steels coming out of your ears.
Must have taken a lot of organising for them but to me and many others it was worth every penny.
I know we still have the Irish Steel Festival but Newbury was only a couple of hours away by car, so for me the Irish gig a bit to far. Anyway, Gerry is a great guy and has done a lot for the steel and nice to see he's got a bit of recognition on this site.
I like to say thank you to all you guys who have made videos and who have done tabs and given help to ease the struggle to get somewhere with this instrument.
Barry.
