Easy to play melody

Heres an old toon from Ireland that I think sounds nice on steel guitar and easy to play and maybe give idea to use first string raise for melody line.....

Hi John - I assume that's a half-tone raise (F# to G) on the guitar rather than half-levering a F# to G# raise?
