I don't think that the take up in the USA will be overwhelming either. That's a pretty hefty cost for tuition. :o :o

Far too steep for me - and I wonder if i'd be able to keep up. I imagine the 'learning curve' will be quite steep as well.

Jason I am very pleased to see you dive back in! that's a much better attitude and your still welcome up here to be shown bum notes and bad habbits etc. nobody quits on my watch ! :evil:

If you split it down it's £30/ month if you spend 1:30 hrs / week on it, that's £5/hr try finding a one hour pedal steel lesson from anyone let alone the master of the instrument for a fiver! Initial out-lay sounds expensive but over a 12 months it's peanuts! Just sayin like.
