This is a good lesson, and it looks like you are speaking to friends.
Just 2 things, as I am not a pedal steel player the backing track part was irrelevant to me, so I scrolled it. I watched because I picked the vid up on the forum, and because I am looking for beginner stuff like bar holds etc., which was useful.

2nd
We'll have it again but this time for C6 lapsteel. :D

well done.
I'mm 55 BTW

Hi thefatcyclist, managed to find a version I did on my lap steel C6 tuning a while ago, if you go here you may have to enter my name, or it may take you straight to my page, go to track 15 and have a listen, regards, Slim.

Great stuff - thanks Slimbo. Easy to understand and apply - a good style.
This tune is very similar to 'Harmony Constant' by Mike Nesmith with the peerless Red Rhodes on steel, so an extra bonus for me! 2 tunes in one!

Hi TFC,Try not to get to involved in tabliture, this is just my opinion try to find of the notes your looking for within the cord you're playing, many songs are three cord tricks, which is known as a 1.4.5. Set up.
Converting this setup to a lap steel in C6 comes out as a 1.5.7. Which is still the same chords but these are the fret's you will find the notes on according to the key you are playing in, give it a try, any difficulty, give me a shout .

Good one Slimbo. The mickey Adams vids have got me started, as recommended by Derek Thurlby
