Agree completely with Peter's comments about Mickey Adams's book. I bought it second hand from Peter only a couple of weeks ago - so checking regularly the 'for sale' section of the steelies website can pay off.
Having spent a couple of weeks using the book, I have to say that if you are going to get into psg seriously then it is THE book to go for because the techniques and exercises are invaluable for increasing knowledge, understanding and pleasure. WW's book is fine as far as it goes but in my opinion it doesn't have a lot to say about practice techniques, fingering, blocking etc (and I also think that there are not enough 'graduated' exercises in WWs book - some of the tunes are very difficult to master. IMO!
Cheaper (and great fun) are the tabs produced by Erv Niehaus on the US Steel Guitar Forum - $1 per time via PayPal. All the country 'standards' - I Fall to Pieces, Makin' Believe, Together Again, Hank Williams - fairly easy to play. I haven't opened the WW book in weeks!
