A word of warning for new players

Postby JohnDavisStringsHere » Mon Dec 19, 2022 6:44 pm

You see I had what I thought was a good idea, being totally disgusted with my lack of progress on the back neck and loving the sound of the C6th I resolved to do something about it and the idea I came up with was find a compilation of Bobby Flores toons my fav Western swing band and play along with it for at least a couple of hours using only the back neck........?....
First day, some progress noted, very satisfying but second day I learned something about repetitive strain injury and my bar hand wrist was telling me to quit so, lesson I learned was when your trying to operate above your pay grade you hold the bar tighter than when your relaxed an in your comfort zone and with a fairly heavy bar twill exacerbate the situation.
I have learned from this.......take it easy, .......take your time..... it will come
