I had a visit from a young man called Joe yesterday, He has not yet acquired a pedal steel but has been playing some lap steel and decided it was time to make the change. The thing that surprised me was how fast he latched on to what he was shown and how he soaked up info, like water to a sponge!! He has met the South London Steelies so has well and truly got the bug!! Watch out for this one!!

Thanks for providing me with the water for absorption, John. Was great to meet you and have a go on the fantastic range of steels you've got there. Was an eye opening day!

I'm putting some old gear up for sale in the guitar shop to raise funds so would hope to have a steel before Feb.

Hi Joe, whereabouts are you in London? You would be very welcome at the next London meet on Sun. 11th Feb. in Clapham. If you don't have a steel by then I could bring one along and an amp if needed. I am based in Hackney, so if you wanted to meet up sometime that would be good . Cheers, Andy.

I went to the South London meeting and was very impressed by Joe. His lap steel playing was so beautiful I almost don't want him to play pedal steel.
