Postby DonRecardo » Tue Jul 29, 2014 9:14 pm

Apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum but I couldn't think of
any other part would have been more suitable

I wanted to ask, has anyone bought the software called PedalPower from DapperDanMusic.com

I was trying to find out if this was a con or if its genuine
the software looked a good idea to a noob like me it said

PedalPower Software:
Pedal Power is pedal steel guitar software to locate chords and chord inversions, it will search for all pedal and lever combinations on your guitar. The results are displayed in color and may be printed out, similar to a chord chart.

PedalPower Summary of its features: Stand out feature is searching with octaves!

With this program you can quickly locate chord patterns, inversions and scales.
Work from sheet music and find the notes in the proper order and octave.
Select the notes you want to locate with or without octave applied.
Highlight a fret or string to work with.
See notes change on the fret board when the respective pedal and/or lever is applied.
Work with up to 4 floor pedals and 5 knee lever at one time.
Experiment with different tunings and pedal pulls before changing your guitar.
Unlimited note configuration with 7 note range with sharps.
3 half step plus or minus for each pedal and lever pull.
Print out of your work.
Export your work to an excel spread sheet.
Changeable 10 string settings for the E9th or for that matter any slide bar tuning you may want to experiment with.

I paid my money with PayPal and expected to be taken to a download page , or maybe be emailed a download link
but that was about 7 hours ago and so far nothing at all. I tried emailing him but no reply came back

Did any one succeed in getting the software ?

if you dont have any luck you can try this for free evaluation:

it's a bit of a beast to get your head round but looks similar to Dapper Dan's..

Thanks for that Henry, It looks interesting

I finally managed to get my copy of pedal Power, The guy selling it had problems with his file server
but in the end I got him to set up a dropbox account and we did it that way

Cheers

I got it about 6 years ago. It was very helpful for me when I was first learning the main chord inversions. It's a good resource, albeit a tad less professional in terms of bells and whistles. I think you'll find it a help. As a result of what I learned from it, I ended up putting together a spreadsheet I call the "E9 Cheat Sheet" listing three inversions of each of the most-frequently-seen chords in all keys. I've sent out about 50 copies to people here and in the USA. If you want a copy, PM me with an e-mail address and I'll forward you one.
