Steel guitar tuition and instruction material

I've been working on the bridge where it goes from D up to G with those lovely overlapping open strings ringing out together, and onwards to the G / A / E / A7 / back to D bit. Has anyone else been looking at this - I'd like to swap ideas, trying to get as close as possible to the original.
Here's the first bit I think, somewhat simplified - the walk-up and the bit that immediately follows:
1------------------------------------8-----------8----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2-----------------------8-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3------------------------------------------8----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4-----5-----------------------8===-------------------10=====------10====10e===10------12------10====10e-------------------------------
5---------5a====8a----------------------------------10===10a-----10a===10====10a-----12a----10a===10-----10===10a===10====----
6-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------10b============10-----
7------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Will, I wish I could join in on this but even the simplest of tabs make my head swim
My name is Danny, and I'm a tablexic, and I hail from the monkey see, monkey do school of learning.
It's a beautiful tune and I applaud your efforts, from afar

Nowhere near a steel at the moment, Will, but intend to give it a go next week. Cheers, Andy.

Will
I don't have pedals

but I appreciate your efforts and the time you have taken to add this post, so don't get disheartened if the pedlars don't respond right away, their legs are all tied up trying to play this tablature and their brains are numb,

so keep posting them
Regards Robert

It's a shame. I know there are pedal steelers out there who know how to play that or at least close as we have heard them at two festivals. My version on C6 lap was played how I felt it in my own style and with the limitations of the lap steel. It's like it's a secret. Unfortunately Mickey Adams didn't tab out the second section of this - I did ask him.
