Steel guitar tuition and instruction material

Would anyone appreciate a video breaking down the E9 steel in terms of chord theory and harmony? I have a bit of time next week, but feel that I would only do it if a few people expressed interest. Please let me know your thoughts and if there are any areas of theory that you don't understand and would like help with. Atb. Tim

Tim I have been trying to learn about it for about 50 years! .... I still know as much about it as a dog knows about a holiday

Are there any other steel devotees who find themselves in John's position?

Not sure what it is you're proposing, Tim. I mean, harmony etc is the same no matter what instrument you play it on, isn't it? Maybe that's what I have been doing wrong all these years...

Hi Tim,
It can't hurt, another way of explaining theory might help some people.
I'm sure it could me understand a little more.

Bring it on Tim, a little learning goes a long way

nice of you to put your time into it. ===== Baz, p.s. John definately knows his theory but, he'd rather play than talk about it,

Tim, I would appreciate that very much, that is a damned fine offer. Cheers, Andy.

Great, are there any particular aspects or areas you would like me to tackle?

I play by ear mostly but would love
some insight into theory etc

Difficult question Tim-it reminds me of the Donald Rumsfelt observation- there are things we know, things we don't know and things we don't know we don't know (that's probably a misquote but you see what I mean). As far as I DO know I would really like to understand how to use/anticipate passing chords to add more colour. Like Robbo I play largely by ear and any help with theory can only be a good thing. Cheers, Andy.
