has anyone got any suggestions for loosening up a stuck clip.. the bit that attaches the pedal to the pedal rod? I cant unscrew it :|

I've tried WD40. I've heard Plus Gas might be good..

Sounds funny but try steeping it in coke overnight.
If no luck that way try a little gentle heat over the gas ring but watch You do'nt overheat it.

Dont leave it in too long, you might not have a pedal rod left otherwise!

gentlemen, as much as i hate coke, the legend on corrosion is a bunch of crap
many parrots, but who actually tried it ?
i did - worthless on metal & copper
the stomach on the other hand is another matter

i prefer the light heat to loosen that part meself mate

I've tried heat (putting it over the gas hob for a while) . wasn't sure how hot to make it

also tried coke (only for a few hours at a time , heeding David's advice)

but no joy :(

I'm gonna get some plus gas and see if that does anything. WD40 didn't seem to do much
