How many C6 players in the UK

Postby Jimmy Gibson » Sun Aug 05, 2012 7:47 am

I wonder How many steel players in the UK have D10s but do not play the C6,and still hump them D10`s to and from gigs.and after many years playing a D10 I could not be without the C6, i could get by with a universal but not a S10 as my only steel because i would miss the 6th tuning.

I was one who humped around a D10 and never ever really got to grips with the C6. Always loved the sound, just never had the ability. I still have the Blanton, but have never even tried C6 again since I got the Williams.
Blanton D10, Justice s10, Fender Acoustasonic 150, 1 Brain, 2 Hands, 2 Knees, & 2 Feet.

I'm about to get into the C6 (well B6) side of things cos this uni should be ready quite soon now.

What does anyone recommend to get started?

thanks

For the record! Henry and I have been in contact since that last reply!
It is great to see the younger blood taking more of an active part here!
There may be a future in this old PSG after all eh! ;)

Crowbear..... you mean that really is`ent you in the pic !! ??? :o
I find not being near as fluid on the back neck as the front ....I will start a break on the back neck but revert to front about halfway through when I think of some better sound I could play :? , But having used it as an armrest for the first 20 wasted years I guess its a confidence issue.......... like, you won`t learn it if you don`t play it! I still love thejazzy sound of the tuning and those big thick strings........ ;)
