Beginner materials wanted

Postby petefrombookham » Fri Mar 10, 2023 11:09 am

Hi everyone,

Just got my first pedal steel recently (a Sho Bud 6139, thanks Mick!). It's been set up in E9 copendant and I've got to grips with key positions, picking major triads, and using the pedals to do a rudimentary 1145 country blues, so now I could really do with some advice on beginner books or instructional videos. I'd love to learn how to play nice lines and licks, as well as improve my muting and right hand picking, plus I love music theory so if anyone here can recommend or has any instructional material to sell I'm all ears. Based in London so can come collect or happy to pay postage too.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete, I’ve got a copy of Jeff Newman’s Techniques course you can have for free if you don’t mind collecting from NE London, good one for beginners.
